Biography
Dr. Patrick Lagüe has a multidisciplinary academic background, with bachelor's and master's degrees in biophysics, and a PhD in physical chemistry. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in molecular modeling of biological molecules. Since 2004, Dr. Lagüe has been Professor of Bioinformatics in the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Bioinformatics at FSG. For several years, he assumed the role of director of the bachelor's program in bioinformatics, where he played a key role in the development and continuous improvement of the program. His research specializes in molecular modeling, and more specifically in the study of the structure and dynamics of proteins and biological membranes. Dr. Lagüe has contributed to several important publications in this field, helping to advance knowledge of the complex mechanisms that govern biological systems at the molecular level.
